Conservatory of Flowers San Francisco.

The Conservatory of Flowers is a national and state landmark located in San Francisco California. Built in 1879 it was the first formal structure constructed in Golden Gate Park and remains an icon. The building was constructed in the Victorian style and is the oldest public wood-and-glass conservatory in North America. It is filled with flowers, foliage, and plants from around the world, with a concentration on tropical plants.

For the branding of this iconic building I wanted the identity to have a museum like feel, because this beautiful structure functioned as a museum for exotic flowers. I also wanted the modern style to reflect the city of San Francisco itself since this building is such an integral part of the city. The colors chosen for the color palette also reflects the tropical flowers that can be seen at the conservatory. When creating the logo, I combined the form of a flower with sharp angles that reference the panes of glass that make up the building’s structure.
