Overview
There are a multitude of travel apps available but finding an app that allows users, with a variety of technical expertise, to easily create a blog to share and document their journey can be a challenge. Take into consideration limited internet connections while traveling in remote locations, and being able to share your amazing experiences with friends and family back home can be difficult.
This was the basis for Soundtrek the audio travel blog that uses an offline mode while adventuring and allows its users to easily save and geotag audio recordings and photographs from their trip. It also serves as a social media platform and allows people to follow their friend’s travels, explore new destinations, and creates a sense of community.
Function.
01. Welcome
These three pages allow the user to sign in, check out their feed, follow friend’s adventures, and make edits to their profile.
02. Adding Trips
These pages allow the user to start a new trip, create a trip profile which defines privacy settings and allows the user to add friends that are also attending the trip. Creating this profile allows for easy saving of geotags while on the go. The last screen is used for uploading content, audio and images, after the user is back in an area with internet connection.
03. Offline Mode
These are the main screen the user uses while out on an adventure. Here the user can record audio, which is geotagged to the location, take pictures and attach audio to images if desired, and record video.
